José R. Izquierdo II is a senior legal executive with extensive experience in corporate governance, public policy, and complex institutional environments. He serves as General Counsel, providing enterprise-level legal leadership focused on risk management, compliance, and long-term value creation.
Mr. Izquierdo brings a unique blend of private-sector judgment and senior government leadership. He has advised corporations, international organizations, and boards of directors in highly regulated and cross-border settings.
He has held senior leadership roles including Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, Assistant Secretary of Economic Development, and General Secretary of the World Boxing Organization’s Executive Committee, leading complex institutions and navigating political, operational, and legal risk.
In the private sector, he has served as Managing Member of Main Line Ventures, LLC, advising organizations on governance and institutional growth, and has served on and advised multiple boards of directors.
Mr. Izquierdo holds a Bachelor of Arts from Haverford College, a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, completed academic studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and completed graduate-level coursework in public administration and policy analysis at New York University. He is fluent in English and Spanish and is admitted to practice law in Puerto Rico.
