Abe’s decades of experience are deeply rooted in the commercial finance sector, with a profound specialization in origination, underwriting, and risk management within the Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) industry.
In the early 2000s, he founded Pearl Capital, one of the industry’s longest-standing and most influential MCA funding institutions. Under his direction, Pearl Capital was instrumental in advancing hundreds of millions of dollars to Main Street businesses across the United States. His commitment to establishing disciplined underwriting standards and leveraging proprietary technology for an optimized application-to-funding process helped set the benchmark for operational efficiency in the nascent alternative finance arena.
In 2015, together with Meir Hurwitz, Abe successfully oversaw the acquisition of Pearl Capital in a significant transaction valued at $50 million, marking one of the key early exits in the sector. Following the acquisition, he shifted his focus to other strategic roles, now serving as the Co-managing Principal for Hamilton Consulting. Through his ventures, he continues to play an active role in pioneering advanced risk models, guiding capital strategies, and expanding liquidity access for small business financing around the globe.
